I’m Jessica, the founder and lead designer of Salt + Light Interior Design.

I became a designer because I’ve always had a natural desire to make spaces beautiful—it’s something that has come instinctively to me for as long as I can remember. Over time, that passion grew into a career rooted in thoughtful planning, purposeful design, and creating homes that truly support everyday life.

With an Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology and experience designing over 75 homes, I bring both creativity and structure to every project. I’m known for my eye for balance and my ability to turn ideas into clear, cohesive plans.

I love working with real families. As a wife and mother myself, I understand the realities of daily life, and I design with that perspective in mind. Because I relate to my clients on a personal level, I’m able to guide them with both professional expertise and real-life experience.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and our two sons. Our family is currently based in San Antonio, Texas, following several military moves across the country. After more than 12 years in Kansas and roots in South Carolina, we’ve learned to feel at home wherever life takes us. And yes—Kansas will always have a special place in my heart. Go Chiefs!
